Blast damages police van in Lahore
[Pak Daily Times] A low-intensity explosion destroyed a police van parked outside the Shalimar police station in Lahore on Thursday. Though there were no causalities, the blast spread panic among the residents of the area. Police personnel had parked their van (LXP 6730) outside the station when the blast occurred. However, there was no policeman sitting inside the van. Police officials and the Bomb Disposal Squad officers immediately reached the area. The squad searched the police station and nearby buildings. However, no explosive material was found. Police has registered a case against unidentified attackers. Civil Lines SP Dr Haider Ashraf told Daily Times it seemed that someone had thrown the bomb in the police van and escaped from the area.
