Pakistani on student visa sentenced for jihad activities
Adnan Mirza, 33, was sentenced to 15 years without parole for unlawfully possessing firearms and conspiring to provide material support to the Taliban, federal officials announced yesterday. He was also fined $9,000.He came in 2005 to study at a Houston community college, but is still here. He and some friends acquired firearms which they used on weekend camping sessions to train for jihad. Foreign students may not have firearms while in this country.
