King Abdullah calls for forming govt of national unity
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Jordanian King Abdullah II received Wednesday Head of al-Iraqiya List, Iyad Allawi, and called for forming a government able to strengthen Iraqs unity and sovereignty, media sources said on Thursday.
The meeting tackled a number of issues of common concern and the latest developments in Iraq, Jordans al-Rai newspaper reported.
The king stressed on the importance of forming a government able to achieve Iraqis ambitious, reiterating Jordans support to Iraq.
Allawi posted the monarch on the outcome of his recent tour, which took him to a number of Arab countries, the newspaper noted.
