Norks looking into nuclear fusion
He said the South believes Pyongyang has some 40 kg of plutonium which could be turned into warheads for ballistic missiles and is seeking to reduce the size of its nuclear bombs. It was previously assumed that the North is a long way from making nuclear devices small enough to fit on a missile. Kim said the ministry is carefully monitoring signs of unusual activity at the North's nuclear test site. "There are no clear signs of the North preparing for another nuclear test," he said.
