Pakistanis held again in Kabul
Twelve Taliban Pakistani prisoners who escaped from a northern jail with the help of a prison guard were recaptured in the capital on Tuesday and will be sent back to jail. The men, all imprisoned for fighting alongside the Taliban against the U.S.-led war in 2001, were found hiding in a house in northern Kabul, said Gen Baba Jan, Kabulâs police chief. The guard was also arrested, along with the owner of the house, Jan told the television station.

About 500 Pakistanis remain in Afghan prisons, mostly in the north. The men recaptured on Tuesday had been held in a particularly notorious jail, called Sheberghan, controlled by northern Afghan warlord Abdul Rashid Dostum.
