Army finds 2 depots in Kirkuk
KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: Army forces found on Wednesday two depots in south of Kirkuk, while policemen found a female body in northwest of the city.
A force from the 12nd division of the Iraqi army found on Wednesday (Dec. 22) two large depots in south of Kirkuk, a media source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The first depot contains 750 kg of a highly-explosive material, while the second one contains materials used to make bombs, he added, without giving more details.
Police found this afternoon a female body near al-Bayati village in al-Toun Koubri district, northwest of Kirkuk, Brigadier Sarhad Qader, chief of Kirkuk Districts Police Department (KDPD), told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
The body bore signs of gunshot wounds and was sent to the Azadi hospitals morgue, he said.
