Droukdel releases new AQIM audiotapes
[Maghrebia] After months of silence, al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) chief Abdelmalek Droukdel (aka Abou Moussaab Abdelouadoud) released two audiotapes on Sunday (January 9th), Tout sur l'Algerie reported. The Algerian terrorist discussed the riots in Tunisia and Algeria. The tapes are the first audio communication from AQIM since the large-scale military offensive last month in the Sidi Ali Bounab forest. The tape included no mention of the 50 gunnies reportedly killed during the ANP operation.
