Two killed, one wounded in southern Thailand
Two men were killed by gunfire and a woman was seriously injured by a landmine in three separate Early in the morning, two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle fired on an village leader in Narathiwat province as he left a mosque, instantly killing him. Police found 10 spent M16 shells at the scene of the incident. A female rubber tapper in Narathiwat stepped on a landmine while collecting latex. Her legs were injured by the shrapnel. The second death occurred when a schoolteacher was going home from her school in Pattani province by motorbike when two gunmen on a motorcycle gunned him down with handguns, stopping to shoot the victim again after he lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
