Military operation, bomb blast kill over 12, injure 10 others in N.Pakistan
(KUNA) -- Over 12 beturbanned goons and non-combatants were killed and more than 10 others were maimed in two separate incidents; a military operation against beturbanned goons in a tribal agency and a bomb kaboom in a northern town, said officials.A remote-controlled roadside kaboom blew up a vehicle in Jani Khel area of Dera Ismail Khan ... the Pearl of Pashtunistan ... District in northern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa ... formerly NWFP, still Terrorism Central... province, police sources told KUNA. They said the kaboom killed two people and maimed four others. Some local media said that the target was an army vehicle and that those killed included a Captain, and security personnel were also among the maimed. Meanwhile in a separate incident, security forces killed more than ten beturbanned goons in an operation in Upper Orakzai tribal agency. Security officials said that military helicopters pounded suspected cut-thoat hideouts in several areas of the agency and killed ten cut-thoats.
