Jordan Islamists demonstrate demanding freedom for jailed relatives
[Arab News] Hundreds of Jordanian Islamists demonstrated in front of the prime minister's office on Sunday to press for the release of their jugged relatives.The protesters, mostly followers of the Salafi and Jihad groups, rolled their eyes, jumped up and down, and hollered poorly rhymed slogans real loud and raised placards alleging that their relatives were jugged to "satisfy the United States and Israel." Scores of Islamists were condemned and sentenced to long jail terms over the past few years after being found guilty by the State Security Court of involvement in plots, including plans to travel to fight against US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
