The staff director for the US Senate Indian affairs committee has objected to the US military's use of the code name "Geronimo" for Osama bin Laden during the raid that killed him.In future operations, to keep everybody happy, codename all targets...George W. Bush. Geronimo was an Apache Indian leader in the 19th century who spent many years fighting the Mexican and US armies, until his capture in 1886. The staff director and chief counsel for the committee, Loretta Tuell, said it was inappropriate to link "one of the greatest Native American heroes" with one of the most hated enemies of the US.
