Why were Iraqi detainee photos taken?
Hereâs a somewhat plausible reason for taking photos of the detainees:Englandâs family says she agreed to be snapped mocking Iraqi prisoners because she was told the pictures would help threaten other detainees. In one photo, she is shown standing making a jaunty thumbs-up gesture behind a pyramid of naked Iraqi men. In another, a cigarette dangling from her lips, she points to a hooded and naked prisoner.
