EU Delegation Says Lebanon Must Fully Implement Resolution 1701
[An Nahar] A delegation of European Union...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... ambassadors stressed on Monday the need for Leb to fully implement United Nations ...a formerly good idea gone bad... Security Council resolution 1701 as stipulated in its government's ministerial statement. It welcomed in a statement after visiting the U.N. Interim Force in Leb headquarters at Ras al-Naqoura the cabinet's commitment to cooperating with the international force. They were greeted at the scene by UNIFIL Commander Major General Alberto Asarta. The talks also focused on the international troops' mission.
