13226 civilians, 21323 terrorists and 5369 security personnel killed in Kashmir from 1990 to 2011
As per reports of J&K Government, 13226 civilians and 5369 Security Force personnel have been killed in terrorist violence in Jammu and Kashmir during the period from year 1990 to April, 2011. Similarly, 21323 terrorists have been killed during the same period.Relief is a State subject. As per the J&K Governments Relief policy, the Next of Kins (NoKs) of civilian victims of terrorist violence as well as Security Force personnel are sanctioned ex-gratia amounts based on extent orders in this regard.
