Five dead in Thai teashop attack
Five people including a nine-year-old boy were injured in a shooting at a teashop in Narathiwat province on Tuesday morning.Police in Muang Narathiwat learned of the attack about 11:30 a.m. and a combined police and military team was dispatched. They found 14 spent 9 mm cartridges in front of and inside the teashop and were told that the injured people were taken to the hospital, police said. The teashops owner told police that eight people including the boy were having tea when two men showed up on a motorcycle. The man riding pillion stepped walked toward them and fired at each of them with a pistol. The victims fell from their chairs and the attackers then fled.
