Cops bust Saudi at JFK airport attempting to board plane with stun weapons
Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Police officers on Thursday night arrested a Saudi national at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, charging him with unlawful possession of weapons.
Police sources identified the suspect as 54-year old Mohamed Hefni, a citizen of Saudi Arabia.
During a routine baggage check by security screeners at JFK airport on Thursday, Hefni, was discovered to be traveling with a stun gun, three stun batons, a stun pen and a can of pepper spray.
Upon being interrogated, Hefni told detectives that he was taking the items home to Saudi Arabia in order to better protect his family.
