25 killed in series of blasts in Iraq
[Times of India] A slew of bombings targeted Iraqi police in Storied Baghdad...located along the Tigris River, founded in the 8th century, home of the Abbasid Caliphate... on Wednesday morning, including blasts by two jacket wallahs who tried to ram their vehicles through cop shoppe gates. Iraqi officials said 25 people died and dozens more were maimed. The blasts were aimed at the police, considered the weakest section of Iraq's security forces, and emphasized that despite security gains, long-term stability in the country is still elusive.
