PM to focus on improving relations with regional countries
 [Dawn] Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani... Pakistain's erstwhile current prime minister, whose occasional feats of mental gymnastics can be awe-inspiring ... at the PM House on Friday and briefed him on upcoming important international events such as Commonwealth Conference in Perth, Australia, this month and the SAARC Summit in the Maldives next month. The Prime Minister directed the Foreign Minister to concentrate on further improving relations between Pakistain and the countries of the region based on mutual respect and equality. As far as the relations of Pakistain with the countries of the region were concerned, the Foreign Minister sounded upbeat and added that her optimism was based on the shared realization among the countries to improve relations The Foreign Minister also apprised the Prime Minister of the Foreign Office's endeavors to seek support for Pakistain's candidature to contest the non-permanent seat of the UN Security Council.
