Accidentally deleted article
Rantburgers - I just accidentally deleted an article. I am so sorry!
I'm pretty sure it was Alter's article about Obama's "scandal-free administration, so I made that the link here. I didn't see who posted it, but it had a lot of good in-line comments. :-(
It also had a lot of good comments underneath, including an extensive list of Obama's failings posted by Newc. In fact, I was trying to post a comment about what a wonderful list it was and how I needed to cut & paste it, when the disaster happened. I'm not very knowledgeable about the internet and computing, so I don't know if there is any way to retrieve an archived copy. I have posted an urgent request for help in the O-Club, in case there is something that can be done about it.
If not, my most sincere apologies to the poster and to newc and all the other commenters. I have never done this before and I promise to be always as careful as I can in the future. We will have to find a way to get Newc's list posted here again, and I'm really sorry about deleting everyone's thoughtful writings. :-( | I was able to put it back. We actually make a backup copy of new articles, though we don't record updates. I'll get with Bad so we can do restores in the future. It's something we should have done before, but I've never had time.
I started the backup routine way back, when we had a Windows server that would occasionally eat data. I watched an entire day's worth of articles disappear one by one once. That was about a week before we switched to Linux, where it's never happened again.
