Two target killers held, 14 suspects detained
[Pak Daily Times]  Sharafi Goth police claimed to have incarcerated two men allegedly involved in various cases of murders while at least 14 suspects were apprehended from Orangi Town in a house-to-house search operation on Sunday. A heavy contingent of police conducted a raid in Orangi Town's Qasba Colony and Pirabad areas and jugged several suspects. According to police officials, they launched a targeted operation after receiving information about the presence of criminals in the locality. During the operation, the law enforcers jugged about one-and-a-half-dozen suspects. Police officials said that the apprehended suspects were involved in various cases of crime while police also recovered about 12 pistols from their possessions. Cases against most of the detainees were registered while other detainees were still being interrogated. Separately, two suspected targeted killers were apprehended by the Sharafi Goth police. According to police officials, the accused, Shahid Anwar and Asghar confessed that they were contractual hit mans who had killed several people in different parts of the city including Orangi Town and Shah Faisal Colony. Police officials said that the suspects were also involved in bank robberies and other heinous crime, adding that the police have seized narcotics from their possession.
