Sipah-e-Sahaba behind Shahbaz Bhatti's murder, says Malik
[Pak Daily Times] Interior Minister Rehman Malik
Pak politician, current Interior Minister under the Gilani administration. Malik is a former Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) intelligence officer who rose to head the FIA during Benazir Bhutto's second tenure. He later joined the Pak Peoples Party and was chief security officer to Bhutto. Malik was tossed from his FIA job in 1998 after documenting the breath-taking corruption of the Sharif family. By unhappy coincidence Näwaz Shärif became PM at just that moment and Malik moved to London one step ahead of the button men.
said on Sunday that red warrants for assassins of former Federal Minister Shahbaz Bhatti had been issued and soon they would be brought to justice. "The two assassins are activists of the banned outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba.

They had managed to reach Middle East. However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
we are making efforts for their arrest and will bring them back to the country," he added. He was talking to media after a Christmas cake cutting ceremony at a local church. Malik said Shahbaz Bhatti sacrificed his life for principles adding that his services for interfaith harmony would long be remembered. He felicitated the Christian community on Christmas and said, "Pakistain People's Party (PPP) considers Christians their brothers and not a minority." He said Christians played an important role for country's independence and after that their contributions for the development of the country were highly commendable.

To a question Malik said that law and order in the country had improved and that was evident from the current political environment. He said the government made foolproof security arrangements for the gathering of Pakistain Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Bloody Karachi.

However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
he asked all the parties to avoid using provocative language against each other as it was against democratic norms. He said neither he nor any member of his party had ever used harsh words against PTI chief Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who who convinced himself that playing cricket qualified him to lead a nuclear-armed nation with severe personality problems...
. "In democracy, there are certain ethics and parameters and others should follow these," he said. He warned that PPP would also revise its policy if others did not stop using improper language against its leadership. To a question about intelligence agencies, he said that as per charter of intelligence agencies those did not come under the Interior Ministry.

To another query regarding Shahbaz Taseer's whereabouts, Malik said he was kidnapped from Lahore and there were conflicting reports about his location. Punjab government can better tell about his the whereabouts, he added.
