Ramadi demonstrations demand release of 15 military officers
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Following Friday's prayers today, a massive demonstration was held in Khaldiya, west Ramadi, demanding the release a number of military officers who were arrested five days ago by the federal government.Oraginzer Hafidh al-Khleifawi told Aswat al-Iraq that the 15 officers were called by the Defense Ministry to attend a security conference in Baghdad, but they were arrested upon arrival. "There was no security conference and no one knows their destiny," he added.
