TFG says it detained suspects for mortar barrage in Mogadishu

Network)- Somalia's Transitional Federal Government (TFG) on Wednesday said it has incarcerated suspects over the mortar shells on the presidential palace in the past couple of days, killing five innocent civilians.Abdirahman Omar Osman (Yarisow), the front man of Somali government told Shabelle Media that the security forces have apprehended several suspects for involvement of Mortar Attacks near Villa Somalia in Mogadishu and will put on trial. The target of the attack is believed to have been a hostel housing pro-government forces in the nearby Villa Somalia compound, the presidential palace. But the mortars did not reach their target and instead landed in a small settlement for internally displaced people in the Wardhigley district.
