JMP suggests 12-point plan for successful dialogue
[Yemen Post] The alliance of the Joint Meeting Parties that headed the interim government has offered President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi a twelve-point plan for holding a successful national dialogue conference and reaching a political settlement.Among the suggested points was the removal of the former president President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh ... Saleh initially took power as a strongman of North Yemen in 1977, when disco was in flower, but he didn't invite Donna Summer to the inauguration and Blondie couldn't make it... from the presidency of the General People Congress party and dismissal of the military commanders who involved in Yemen's political crisis. An Emeriti newspaper, Al-Byan, quoted a big shot of the JMP as saying that secretary-generals of the Yemeni Socialist Party and the Islah Party informed Hadi about the JMP's suggestions. A leader of the JMP said there was an agreement on most points offered to Hadi, declining to comment on points rejected by Hadi. He further mentioned that the plan included the transfer of the armed forces to outside the capital and dismissal of some military and security commanders, integration of the armed and security forces under the command of the Defense Ministry and the Interior Ministry, and formation of the presidential guard under the supervision of Hadi. The points also included a formation of a committee to reform the diplomatic missions in line of the national reconciliation. The points also included the reformation of the Republican Presidency Office, and the General Secretariat of Presidency to enable them performing their tasks properly and completing the perpetration of the transitional justice law. The countries overseeing the GCC-mediated power transfer deal have called all Yemeni parties to commit to the agreement signed in last November, cautioning against any attempts to impede the deal.
