Bomb hurts cop in Charsadda
[Dawn] A policeman was injured when he tried to defuse an improvised bomb in Shabqadar area here on Saturday. A mosque and a house were also damaged partially in the blast.Officials said that police got information that an bomb was planted by unidentified persons near the house of a local, Abaseen. Police rushed to the scene and tried to defuse the bomb, they added. They said that all at a sudden the bomb went off with a bang, injuring a police constable Alaf Khan. The injured policeman was taken to district headquarters hospital for treatment. A nearby mosque and house were also damaged in the kaboom.
