Egypt Disqualifies Top Islamists, Mubarak Vp From Vote

From 1993 until his appointment to that office in 2011 he was Minister without Portfolio and Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate (EGID)... and ultra orthodox Salafi sheikh Hazem Salah Abu Ismail. Farouk Sultan, head of the presidential election commission, told Rooters the disqualified candidates had 48 hours to appeal against its decision.
