PA security officers on strike
EFLMore than 100 members of the Palestinian security forces have gone on an unprecedented strike in Gaza, calling on the Palestinian Authority to end what they charged was rampant corruption among senior officers. Pressing Chairman Yasser Arafat to take action, the protesters took over a position belonging to the elite Force 17 in the central Gaza Strip on Tuesday and sent him a letter with their demands.
