Former MP Ranjbar Arrested, Accused of Kidnapping and Rape
[Tolo News] Leading political figure and former member of Afghanistan's parliament Abdul Kabir Ranjbar was enjuggedI ain't sayin' nuttin' widdout me mout'piece! and accused of rape by the Attorney General's office on Saturday. Deputy Attorney General Rahmatullah Nazari told TOLOnews that Ranjbar is accused of kidnapping and raping a girl. According to Nazari, the girl was kidnapped from the Dehsabz area of Kabul province eight months ago and raped. "This girl was kidnapped from Dehsabz area several months ago, then she came and claimed that she was with Karim Ranjbar for several days and was raped. From yesterday on, Mr Ranjbar is under detention," Nazari said. Some eight people were investigated in connection with her case and in the course of the investigation, officials discovered that Ranjbar was also involved in the incident, he said. Prosecutors say that the girl had beat feet from Ranjbar's house. "The girl claims that when Ranjbar was raping her, she hit his mouth with her fist and broke three of his teeth," Nazari added.
