Sayedee denied bail

The tribunal also said his bail prayer, filed on health grounds, was dismissed since he had been taken good care of at a hospital.

The three-member tribunal led by Justice Nizamul Huq ordered Sayeedi's family to bear all cost of his treatment.

This was Sayeedi's seventh bail prayer before the tribunal.

Defence counsel Tajul Islam on June 21 appealed to the tribunal for his bail saying that Sayeedi needed the support of his family to get well and to recover from the grief of losing his son.

Sayeedi is facing 20 charges of crimes against humanity allegedly committed by him during the Liberation War.
