Shia lady doctor killed in DG Khan
Renowned gynaecologist Dr Suraiya Nisar, proprietor of Al-Zohra Hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan, was shot dead by two unidentified men at her hospital on Sunday. One of the men stayed at the hospitalâs gate while the second man went inside, asked for her and shot her dead when she came to meet him. Her brotherâs driver, Muhammad Ibrahim, was shot and injured when he tried to catch the attacker. âI am confident that it was a sectarian killing because we have been receiving death threats for some time,â the deceased gynaecologistâs brother, Dr Iftikhar Hussain, said.
