NW Pak 'suicide' attack kills nine
At least nine people were killed and 16 others injured when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive laden car in northwest Pakistan's tribal region Saturday. The bomber blew up the vehicle just outside the compound of anti-Taliban militant commander Maulana Nabi, in the Kurram tribal area.Senior administration official Zakir Hussain said, "It was a suicide attack, the target was militant commander Nabi's center." Local residents said he survived the attack. Nabi's security stopped the vehicle and the attacker blew up his car after he was unable to enter the compound.
