Roadside Bomb Explosion wounds Three soldiers in Balad
(Sh.m.Network)-- At least Three Somali government soldiers have reportedly been maimed after their pick-up truck mounted with anti-aircraft gun hit a roadside kaboom in Balad district, north-west of the capital, Mogadishu, on Monday.An Eyewitness said that battlewagon carrying number of government soldiers were on their way to their base in the district when the roadside blasted. "I could see at around 11:15 a.m. local time at least 3 soldiers bleeding and lying on the ground following the attack," a witness said. No group has grabbed credit for the attack so far. Balad, a key town just 30 kilometers north west of Mogadishu fell to Somali government soldiers along with AU forces, after Al shabab Islamic fascisti pulled out of the district, without a fight on Jun 26, 2012. The taking of Balad was the latest success for Somali government forces in a year of big gains against Al-Shabaab  ... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... fighters.
