Two killed in second Indonesian eruption
A second volcano has erupted in Indonesia, killing two tourists and seriously injuring another. Mount Bromo, a popular tourist destination in the densely populated east Java Province, produced a three-kilometre high column of ash and smoke before erupting late in the afternoon. All three victims were Indonesians from Bali. It is the second major eruption in two days in the Indonesian archipelago. About 20,000 villagers have been evacuated on the northern island of Singihe, where the Mount Awu volcano has erupted.
