Car bomb kills police officer in Dagestan
A police officer in Russias North Caucasus Republic of Dagestan died in hospital on Tuesday after he was seriously wounded in a car bomb explosion in the town of Buinaksk. First reports indicate that an bomb was rigged underneath police captain Ibragim Mamayev's Nissan car. The device blew up as the vehicle reached Said Gabiyev Street.
