Village official shot in southern Thailand
An assistant village leader was shot and seriously wounded in an ambush on Saturday in Narathiwat province.Witnesses said that Bueraheng Nasae, assistant chief of Ban Sompoi, was riding his motorcycle to his rubber plantation on the Narathiwat-Pattani road when a gunman riding pillion on another motorcycle fired on him with a handgun.
