A court in Baidoa sentences seven people to 6-7 years in jail
(Sh.M.Network)--A military court in Somalia's Baidoa town sentenced 7 alleged criminals in 6-7 years in prison over killing and insecurity acts.

Col.Mahad Abdirahman, the chief of Somali army in Bay region told Shabelle Media Network that the court has ruled the men after found guilty of murder and executions against civilians in Baidoa, 250 Km north-west of Mogadishu.

"The court of Somali armed forces a security committee of the region have opened proceedings over the case and lastly sentenced 7 alleged men to 7 and 6 years in jail," he said.

Baidoa, a key town in north-west Mogadishu that is now under Somali government control, after Al shabab pulled out of the town, all without a fight early this year.
