"Recently, There have been massive search operations to secure Mogadishu and protect attacks from Al shabab, capturing hundreds of suspects that are now held in jails," he added.

Somali police are visible in Mogadishu's main streets, searching cars and people in a bid to assure the overall security of the capital, which mired by violence and liquidations in the past 20 years due to the lack of central government.
