Somali Gov't displays dozens of suspected Al shabab affiliates
 (Sh.M.Network)--Somalia's national security agency on Thursday put on show in Mogadishu at least 80 suspected Al Qaeda-linked Al shabab members said to have been cooled for a few yearsMaw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! in an operation by government forces, officials said. Khalif Ahmed Eric, chief of Somali security forces in Benadir region, told news hounds in Mogadishu, that the alleged men were tossed in the slammer ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... in the latest Mogadishu crackdown, and most of them confessed Al shabab allegiance. "Recently, There have been massive search operations to secure Mogadishu and protect attacks from Al shabab, capturing hundreds of suspects that are now held in jails," he added. Somali police are visible in Mogadishu's main streets, searching cars and people in a bid to assure the overall security of the capital, which mired by violence and liquidations in the past 20 years due to the lack of central government.
