Man killed, wife, sister injured in southern Thailand
A scrap-rubber trader was killed and his wife and younger sister seriously injured by a gunman in Narathiwat province on Monday morning.

The attack occurred about 9:50 a.m. on a roadside in a rubber plantation. Witnesses said that while Nase Uma and his wife Ropi-a Mading and younger sister Karatini Uma were sorting scrap rubber they had bought, two men arrived on a motorcycle and the pillion rider shot Nase one time in the head with an AK47 rifle, killing him on the spot. His wife and sister ran for their lives but were shot from behind by the gunman. Both of them were hit and seriously injured.
