Iraq Attacks Kill Three
[An Nahar] Attacks north of Storied Baghdad...located along the Tigris River, founded in the 8th century, home of the Abbasid Caliphate... killed at least three people on Saturday, including two soldiers bumped off at a checkpoint, officials said. The two soldiers were killed and three others maimed when gunnies opened fire on their checkpoint in the town of Taji, just north of the capital, early Saturday, security and medical officials said.
