Car bomb attacks kill three people in Iraq
[Dawn] Iraqi officials say two car booms have killed three people and maimed at least seven in a town south of Storied Baghdad...located along the Tigris River, founded in the 8th century, home of the Abbasid Caliphate... Police officials say the first bombing took place in a residential area of the predominantly Shia town of Mohmoudiya early Thursday, killing two people and wounding four. Another car boom went kaboom!seconds later at a parking lot near the town's electricity directorate, killing one person and wounding three. Mahmoudiya is about 30 kilometers south of the Iraqi capital. Health officials at the town's general hospital confirmed the casualty figures.
