Yemen Release Six Nationals Arrested After Iraq Visits

in late October while landing in the country coming from Iraq, National Organization for Defending Rights and Freedoms (HOOD) said in a statement on Monday.

The six were released by the Iraqi authorities and deported to their country in late October, and on their arrival, the Yemeni intelligence system held them at Sanaa International Airport.

"Their release took place on Monday after the authorities failed to charge them," the statement said, adding that the release was on guarantees that their families will bring them to the authorities upon demand.

During their release, the authorities barred journalists from picturing the Yemeni citizens, an activist was quoted by Almasdar Online as saying.
