Libya: Yarmouk massacre trials to open
 [Magharebia] Trials related to the 2011 Yarmouk detention camp massacre will begin next month in Tripoli...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... , Libya Herald reported on Thursday (December 27th). Nine defendants are accused of torturing and executing more than 100 prisoners near the Yarmouk Military Base in Salahaddin, south of Tripoli. Officer Hamza Mabrouk Muftah El-Harizi will be tried separately by a military tribunal. Human Rights Watch ... dedicated to bitching about human rights violations around the world... has investigated what it calls "the summary execution of detainees in the final days of the Qadaffy government's control of Tripoli".
