Pakistan: Six charity workers shot dead
Six charity workers, five of them women, have been shot dead in north-west Pakistan, police say.

The women were teachers who were attacked as the group was leaving a community centre. Their driver was also killed. All were Pakistani citizens.

The vehicle they were travelling in was shot at as they were leaving the centre, reports said.

The incident happened in the Swabi district close to a road connecting Peshawar to the eastern city of Lahore.
