South Korean Medical Teams Stop Treating Iraqis
Doctors with the South Korean military contingent in Iraq have stopped treating Iraqis since the kidnapping of one of their compatriots. A Defense Ministry spokesman in Seoul says they stopped for safety concerns, but an Iraqi interpreter for the South Koreans told the French News Agency the doctors are refusing to treat the Iraqis to protest Kim Sun-ilâs kidnapping in Fallujah last Thursday. South Korea currently has a 600-member contingent, mostly engineers and medics, stationed in the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah.
