Kunar Tribal Elders Kidnapped, Killed
[Tolo News] Two tribal elders kidnapped three days ago in the Manogai district of eastern Kunar province... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... by gunnies have been found dead, local officials said Wednesday. The tribal elders were found stabbed to death and with their eyes cut out in Manogai's Zeer-Salam area Wednesday morning, district police chief Awaz Mohammad Nazeeri told TOLOnews. "The elders have been stabbed and the gunnies have taken their eyes out," he said. No one has been locked away You have the right to remain silent... over the case but the police are still investigating the incident, he added. Motives for the kidnapping and murder of the two elders are unclear, according to Nazeeri, who did not know their names. No group including the Taliban has grabbed credit.
