Cardinal calls for priests to be allowed to marry
 [ABC.NET.AU] Britannia's most senior Roman Catholic, Cardinal Keith O'Brien, has spoken out on the issue of celibacy, saying priests should be allowed to marry and have children.I actually don't care if they do, but I'm guessing that giving in on that most reasonable demand would start Rome on the path to Anglicanism. Cardinal O'Brien says the next pope will be allowed to change the current policy because the principle did not come directly from Jesus Christ. "There was a time when priests got married, and of course we know at the present time in some branches of the church - in some branches of the Catholic Church - priests can get married," he said.
