Clashes in Tirah kill four soldiers, 14 suspected militants: officials
[Dawn] Fourteen bully boyz have been killed in an offensive against bully boyz in Khyber tribal region's Tirah Valley, security officials said on Friday.

The festivities have also left four soldiers dead and five others maimed, the officials told Dawn.com.

The Frontier Corps media spokesperson, Major Fazl also confirmed that four soldiers were killed in the shootout while five others were maimed.

Three bully boy bases were also destroyed in the offensive, the officials said.

The festivities in the valley had also left two members of a peace committee dead as bully boyz set ablaze a number of houses of the rustics opposing their presence in the valley.

Four rockets from some holy man's guesthouse an undisclosed location hit the residential areas of Hayatabad Phase-6. At least one person was killed and five others, including four children, were maimed in the attack.

"In all, four rockets were fired from the tribal areas. Three of the rockets went kaboom! while one landed in the open and but failed to explode. The rocket was defused by the bomb disposal squad," Tatara cop shoppe official ASI, Mahsal Khan told.

He said that one rocket landed near the cop shoppe, the other near a park while one hit the residential area, leaving some people injured.

The Hayatabad Medical Complex officials confirmed that six people including four children were brought to the hospital where one has died.
