Students protest against 'state of chaos' in Benghazi
[Libya Herald] Students at the University of Benghazi staged a protest yesterday against what they said was a state of chaos and absence of security in the city.The protest, which took place on the university campus, was a reaction to the car kaboom near Benghazi's Jala hospital on Monday, according to Libyan news agency LANA. The blast was originally reported to be a car-bomb but the Ministry of Defence has since said that forensic evidence points to the accidental kaboom of a vehicle transporting tank ammunition. The students called for the government to immediately activate the police service to restore safety and security to streets.
