Hackers Attack Saudi Official Websites
The website of the information minister was among the hacked sites, according to state news broadcaster Al-Ekhbariya and newspapers. The websites of Al-Ekhbariya itself, along with sports channel Al-Riyadiyah, Channel One and Koran Radio, as well as King Fahd Cultural Center, were all hacked. No one grabbed credit for the electronic raid, while those websites went down. Earlier this month, the website of the Saudi interior ministry was among several official websites that came under hacking attacks. In August, Saudi oil giant Aramco was the target of a cyber attack that the authorities said was aimed at halting production in the world's largest crude oil exporter.
