Mohammad Saleem and Mohammad Fayaz were patrolling the area near Kunwari Colony on a cycle of violence when armed motorcyclists fired at them and fled, said the Pirabad SHO. He said their condition was out of danger. The incident prompted the Rangers to launch an 'operation' in the area during which some suspects were taken into custody, the police said. Watchman killed A factory watchman was rubbed out in Awami Colony, police said. It seemed that the attackers were familiar with Mujeed Gul, 65, as they talked to him before killing him in Bengali Market.
